Malvern and South Worcestershire is linked to London in many ways as are we at Allan Morris. This relationship is strengthened every year by those moving out of the South East, either with young families, or retiring to the area. Each year they represent about a third of our buyers overall! After working in the Mayfair Office last month, myself and fellow directors from the group were back in London again this month for the Mayfair Office Conference. This wonderful event brings together directors of the very best independent firms working from 450 offices in 47 countries to discuss the latest trends, innovations, legislations and best practices within the estate agency industry. We were honoured this year to have our own Paul Jones, one of our Directors from the Worcester Office sitting on the experts panel with the likes of Zoe Napier and Bob Scarff. Following on from the conference I spent the evening discussing the market with colleagues from as close as Gloucestershire to as far as California. The general trend from all though was that as wonderful as modern technology is there is nothing that beats the core values that we have here of working with our clients, not just for them but with them, to achieve the best possible price in a suitable timeframe. It is the core value of what we do at Allan Morris. It is important to not just getting the property sold, but also helping our clients through the sales process and to the point of actually moving.
The importance of Worcestershire to buyers from the capital was highlighted further as Nick Churton, director of the Mayfair Office came to spend a few days with us visiting our offices at the end of the same week.
